Curious about the experiences of (former) employees? Read below what Joran, Alexandra, and Sharushan thought of their internship and why they chose to continue working at Ilfa afterwards.
Joran:
“During my gap year, I did an internship at Ilfa. From day one, I was involved in day-to-day operations and introduced to the versatility of the treasury field. I got the opportunity to participate in projects of the Treasury Desk. My internship was fun and very instructive because of the great variety of work and the freedom I was offered to think and work with. When I started my master's programme, I also continued working at Ilfa. My study pressure was taken into account very well internally. After completing the course, I joined the Treasury Desk full time.”
Alexandra:
“Doing a graduate internship at Ilfa was a fun challenge. I was really part of the Treasury Desk team. It's not an internship where you have to do rotten jobs. You are given daily tasks from day one, get to participate in projects and get involved in many things if you show an interest in them. Of course, there was also room for my thesis and I was given help when I needed it. There is a lot of knowledge within Ilfa that you can learn a lot from as an intern. I continued working at Ilfa after my internship because I had room to grow. The variety in the work also attracted me a lot, because it means you keep learning new things.”
Sharushan:
“I did my associate internship at the Treasury Desk. It was educational, fun and the perfect place to experience a treasury company. I was allowed to do different work and was involved in various projects such as the Treasury Scrums. As a result, I gained a lot of knowledge in a short time. I was an intern, but was allowed to join the Treasury Desk as a full member. I did regular day-to-day work and co-managed a client project with a college. It was definitely taken into account that I did not yet have all the necessary knowledge and I was given guidance and help where needed. I went to work with pleasure and a lot of motivation. This was also due to the good atmosphere in the team and because we communicated with each other a lot. The first few days I was immediately well taken care of and quickly felt at home.“
